Acne Control – Find Out 4 Reasons Why You Need to be Proactive in Treatment
Acne control is a goal for every adolescent or adult that has suffered from the ravages of this unsightly, stressful and physically painful condition. When the first signs of acne appear on the skin, it is a wise idea to actively fight the disease right from the beginning. Proactive treatment stands more chance of being successful if it is commenced early. Often, it is the early and consistent treatment that means the difference between scarring and additional mental distress due to the appearance of the skin and a successful alleviation of the acne symptoms with no sign of scarring.
Understanding the causes
Successful acne control is a matter of working with what is known about the causes of the condition and changing the dynamics in order to reduce the negative impact of acne. Beginning the process early is more likely to be successful in reducing the breakouts. For example, it is now known the acne symptoms appear when there is a malfunction of the oil-producing glands at the base of the hair follicles. The cause is probably related to hormonal production, so treatment that begins early can focus on these two aspects. Hormone treatment takes time to work so early treatment is better than delaying.
Reduce physical scarring

The early stages of the outbreaks are the best time to make a significant difference in the long term residual effects of the condition. Before there is time to enter into the full blown hormonal changes that often coincide with the onset of the symptoms, a proactive stance will improve the chances of successful treatment.
