7. Stress causes acne. To some extent this is true, but there is more to the equation. Stress causes an increase in cortisol in the body substance. Cortisol causes the skin to secrete more natural oil, known as tallow. This extra oil can be combined with dead skin cells to clog pores and cause acne.
8. Women sometimes have acne due to hormones. True. Hormones have a wide range of effects throughout the body, and related PMS zit ever seems to be not a figment of his imagination.
